NEW CALLING!

Drum roll please....PRIMARY PIANIST! Woo :D I am now the choir AND Primary pianist. Hmmm is music supposed to be part of my life? I predict yes. YES! I am LOVING studying music. I love digging into the theory and making connections. (You mean it makes sense!!??) YES it does. And I know being in tune with the spirit has helped me to learn and progress. :) Yippee skippee!

I am learning SO MUCH! I've only had 2 lessons and have already learned a ton. And Music Theory is SLOWLY starting to make sense (Very slowly haha) I am so amazed with music. It is literally amazing. Right now I am working on Marshall McDonald's arrangement of Good King Wenceslas, for Christmas. Along with William Josephs 'Within' and the crazy, but fun 'Rondo Alla Turca' by Mozart. SO FUN! My mentor is so accomplished and knows exactly what I need to improve on and study just by watching me play. I am so immensely blessed to have an amazing mentor to guide me through this journey! I am also very thankful for the talents God has given me, and the chance I have to improve on them! And I am so thankful for my husband who supports me in my dream to become a better musician. I love him :)

Welcome to my new music blog!! I decided to make it more cutesy :) haha 

Update on my music life: I start studying with a professional musician next week! I am so excited. I have currently stopped composing music until I learn more theory. Blech. I am no good with that. My brain can't handle it all! Anywho, I just love music! And I have learned that composing is hard. SO hard. But through inspiration and being in tune with the spirit I know I will be able to write much more powerful songs that reach out to others. That is my goal :)
